Shall we Run?

Nylessa was a beautiful angora/saanan cross, with a wonderful temperament and a bouncy excitement that always made you laugh as you watched her. She was a great pet, and a dear friend too; her brothers, Eddie and Jamie, are still alive, but though Nylessa is gone there are still the memories of those few months of her life that we shared.

Where shall we run today?
Through a forest glade? Or a desert of dust?
‘Long a river of stone? Or to a garden of rust?
Where shall we run today?

When shall we run today?
In the morn or evening? At midnight or midday?
When shall we run today?

Shall we dance o’er hilltops?
Or cross a mountain of hay?
Swaying bridges may we ford?
Where shall we run today?

Prance over green grass in heaven,
Nylessa.
For it’s fresher there than down here.
Drink clear fountain water in heaven,
Nylessa.
And down through the clouds may you peer
To watch over us, your family, and friends.
Dear Nylessa.
Rest In Peace.
